![]() ![]() HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sonic Foundry\ACID\4.0\Metrics\VSTi Synth\Plugs until you've navigated all the way down through this path: Open that and find Sonic Foundry then ACID etc. Open that and you'll see an entry at the next level called Software. In the left window you'll notice a tree view starting with My Computer and one of the registry hives under it will be HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Then in the Open: entry field type regedit. What follows is a "fix" I found and tried. My problem is that I was having some trouble loading VST instruments and effects into Acid. All of my creative output and software has been saved to an external USB drive. I'm running Windows 98 with a 1 gig Pentium and 640 mb of RAM. ![]() just wait until I detail the antiquated system I'm using). ![]() but I just like to make music, not become a tech expert. My "dilemma"? I have been using Acid Pro 4.0 for several years (I know, I know. It's something that this cheap-assed musicmaker would pay a modest fee to use as it seems the creators of it are good folks, not just money-grubbers. First of all I really dig Reaper! I've found it to be very intuitive and functional. I'll try to keep this inquiry as simple as possible. ![]()
